General

The IQ includes comprehensive diagnostic tools. The IQ display includes four dedicated Icons indicating group Control System, Actuator and Valve alarms. A battery icon also will display a battery low condition. Refer to publication E170E.

IQ Insight Actuator Diagnostics analyses the alarm status of the IQ and reports back both group alarm status and a breakdown of specific alarm conditions.

Diagnostics can only be used when connected to an IQ

Begin Diagnostics

Click the Begin Diagnostics control to interrogate the IQ for the current alarm status.
Insight will indicate current alarms by highlighting the applicable group alarm:

Control Alarm - remote control system applying an active ESD or interlock signal.
Actuator Alarm - actuator detects an internal fault or power supply problem.
Valve Alarm - valve is jammed or obstructed mid travel causing a torque trip.
Battery Alarm - actuator low battery condition or battery test problem.

The specific cause of the alarm(s) will also be highlighted. If there are no alarms, Actuator Diagnostics will show all group alarms off and specific conditions as OK.

The tables below provides an specific alarm condition action/check list:
