Operation of the open and closed torque switches can be profiled to suit specific valve applications. For example, the torque switches may be required to allow more torque to be generated at end of travel than mid travel for better valve control or protection. Due to the complexity of Torque Switch Profile and associated contractual requirements, this feature is unavailable to Users. Rotork will be happy to discuss your application requirements and can, on agreement, load a specific torque switch profile into the actuator.

A torque switch profile can be loaded into the page for viewing:
Get Setting
Click the get setting control to load a Rotork configured torque switch profile or the default profile. A profile displayed greyed out, is not active. An active profile will be coloured, red - open, green - close
Note. A torque switch profile will not be active unless switched on by Rotork. An active profile will be displayed in Configuration as "Prof." And on the actuator display for Torque closing or Torque Opening as "??". Refer To Configuration - Open/Close Stop setting and Virtual setting Tool"

Save torque switch profile to file. Torque switch profiles are given the extension .tpdLoad - load a previously saved torque switch profile into the page.

Once a torque switch profile has been loaded into the page, it can be saved as a reference file for comparison. Reference torque switch profiles can be loaded onto a displayed valve torque profile in Datalogger in order to compare operational valve torque profiles against a configured torque switch profile:
Select Open and/or Close in the Mode control to save the required profile and click the Save As Reference control. In the Save Torque Reference File dialogue, enter a file name and select the required folder. For importing a reference file into the Datalogger Page or into another application such as Excel, refer to Datalogger, Save/Load Reference File
